The purchase process was for the most part smooth. Vanessa and Century 21 were great, the only bumps were caused by Community Bank and Paul Connelly specifically.
The sole reason we purchased the property at 177 Broad St is because of Vanessa. My husband met her on the set of Escape at Danemorra while he was working on the film crew. We had been interested in another property represented by another real estate firm. They had reported innacurate information and basically stopped serving us. When Peter met Vanessa on se of Escape at Dannemora, he asked her if she could find some information concerning that property the prior agent had failed to provide. He told her, "let me know in a couple of days what you find". 10 minutes later she had that question answered. He came home and said..."We are not using the current real estate agent, and we are going to work with Vanessa". We looked at the original property again, and after talking with Vanessa after the tour, we decided not to offer a price. Vanessa showed us 2 more properties, one of them being 177 Broad St. Once we toured the space, we decided to begin the offer process that day. Now we own the building. It is because we trusted Vanessa and she listened to what we were looking for, and matched us with those desires instead of trying to make an undesirable property sound desirable that we closed on 177 Broad St.
